The Story of Aavesham
The story of the film is actually a very short and easy to tell one. Three boys are freshers. Well, those who are here – tortured, beaten and teased by the seniors. Now those people here want to take revenge but due to lack of power to revenge on such big gang, they are in search of a gangster. Now in this search, one day they meet a mentally sentimental gangster Ranga, Principal’s younger brother.
Still let me tell you that after that point the story of these three freshers ends for you. Since then, we can see the mental mass of Ranga in manifestation. If I talk about the film, then Fahadh Faasil’s entry, the interval bang, a fight scene in a building, and the climax of the film are such moments where somewhere or the other there is a mass appeal. At the same time there was something very impressive about it.
If you look closely, through all these moments or, rather, all these events, the various aspects of Fahadh Faasal’s character are explained here. The information goes and is presented unambiguously. I used the word mental sentimental character, the very word shows that the mental part and sentimental part has so well mixed up in this character.
Reviewing Aavesham
Well, leave it, you have come here to listen to the review, so let us talk about the film. If I talk about the film, then “Avesham” is a fun-to-watch film where you cannot expect much from the story and screenplay. What’s more, I would say that if you sit down to watch this film on OTT, then according to me, the experience you have will be at par with that of watching it in a theater.
What’s more, what is going to happen here is that this is a film that should be seen in packed theaters, whatever is there should be seen on the big screen at least because it is completely a one-man show, Fahadh Fasal’s one-man show. And in the film, Fahadh Fasal, you are going to be seen in an avatar in which you might not have seen him recently.
Guys honestly say, there are four to five such scenes in the film “Aavesham”, such moments where if there is a proper mass audience inside the theater, then that theater will not remain a theater, it will turn into a stadium. Meaning moments like this and in this amazing way. They have been presented with the feeling that it will be fun.
Climax in Aavesham
In the second half, the last 30-40 minutes, there is doubt about this character that makes the movie powerful. That is, now having forced a mentally sentimental character to break his sentiments, it is all the more very interesting to see how this character is going to react in such a situation. And somewhere that makes the climax of this film very entertaining though by then its emotional aspect is fully explored.
Here in the climax sequence, that look of Fahadh Faasil and his background music that appears for a second will make you even wonder whether it is his or Anirudh’s. At this level, it is not just background music in the climax of the movie; all the songs of the film are full of vibes, and it is a lot of fun listening to them in the theatre.
Is Aavesham hit or flop?
To this effect, there is nothing conclusive on whether ‘Aavesham’ has hit the bull’s eye or belongs to the list of flops. The performances of a movie can be told on factors like gross, nectar, and reviews. If you want to know the current statistics, then one can always turn to the latest box office records or vent to entertainment news sites for reviews and feedback. If you want me to evaluate the ‘latest details’ or ‘a specific measure,’ you might be able to tell how the film is doing.
Analyzing Negatives
Besides this, if I discuss some of its lows then as mentioned above the comedy element is quite effective at some times, but at some others, it is quite ineffective. It may also be the reason for watching in subtitles because again I tell you this time and again that subtitles are more paramount to grasp the comedy. Nowadays there are so many movies being shot in such a manner that you have to know the language which, I suppose, is the bare requirement. If you want, then there are some such moments in many places, and the culture of pop culture was used here for fun.
Is Aavesham related to Romancham?
But “Aavesham” is not sequel to “Romancham” as they are two different movies having different plots, cast and crews. Although both the movie titles, “Romancham” and “Aavesham” belong to the horror comedy genre, directed by Jithu Madhavan respectively, the subject matter as well as the approach in both titles are completely different. Still, both the movies are Malayalam films hence they could in some ways have commonality and may contain theme or stylistic(component) characterizing regional cinema. However, if you have particulars and features of either “Aavesham” or “Romancham” that you wish to make a comparison or contrast of feel free to share.
Is Aavesham worth watching?
Fahadh Faasil plays commissioner ‘Aavesham’ to the T and is outstanding in a new avatar is how a critic has put it which gives enough reason to watch the movie. The film contains several scene-stopping scenes that can easily turn the theater into stadio-like conditions with an active audience because of the desire to stay with the story and its characters, their iteration and the use of non-traditional techniques that are used in the film to depict the flash-backs.
Sushin Shyam’s music in epic scenes includes but not limited to climax part that enriches the film theory and experience. However, the plot can be described as simple, and the jokes could be a little bit silly, however, when watching this movie with the subtitles they might seem not so funny. If possible, it would be thrilling to watch “Aavesham” in a theatre with a houseful of audience, though it might not be much effective when viewed on OTT platforms.
