Read on a review of Atlas sci-fi movie which stars Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, and Sterling K. Brown. If you are going to watch ‘Act of Valor’ or have watched this movie, you could define the film’s merits and demerits, and why it has some issues in spite of the emotional scenes and action sequences.

Casts of Atlas
In this film, you have Oscar-nomination receiver Sterling K. Brown, Simu Liu who is Shang-Chi, and of course, Jenny From the Block, Jennifer Lopez, who seems to dominate most of this movie as most of this movie is her and a robot. Of course, it is shot by Brad Peyton and he was the director of Rampage, San Andreas, and the new AI-themed Atlas.
Story Of Atlas Movie
The subject of this sci-fi movie Atlas is an AI soldier who decides that the only way to end war is to annihilate people. The plot is based on a strong-spirited main character who is a waitress, Jennifer Lopez, for whom a robot becomes her only companion. Living in a world full of tension and threats they have to learn more about the AI’s goals and try to prevent it from implementing them. With an ensemble of other talented actors such as Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, the movie touches on concepts mainly centered on trust, humanity.
Atlas Review
The movie Atlas directed by Jennifer Lopez tries to be a brilliant sci-fi movie full cast with a great actors like Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown but failed to do so. I like an idea of the film about an artificial intelligence which wants to destroy all the people, but unfortunately, very soon the movie turns into cliches and weak script and poor dialogues. Indeed, there are some tender scenes between Lopez’s character and a robot, but this sort of chemistry appears to be false, and the action scenes seem unconvicing and clichè. Unfortunately, the ideas of the director Brad Peyton are complemented with too predictable a script and an un ansch punch to the main villain. Unfortunately, Atlas won’t find its place in these viewers’ hearts and stands in the crowd in the world of Sci-fi cinema.
Is Atlas a Titanfall movie?
No, Atlas is not Titanfall, much less a Titanfall movie. Atlas and the Titanfall are related to themes such as technology and showdown with robots or AI’s, Atlas on the other hand, is sci-fi movie with it’s own plot and characters. A science-fiction film in which the AI soldier comes to conclusion that humans should be eradated so that there are no more wars, main cast is comprised of Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, and Sterling K. Brown. On the other hand, Titanfall is a video game series and one of the most famous games which are created by Respawn Entertainment, where main concept of the game is based on the pilots using their mech suits known as The Titans. The two are different in plot and setting.
Jennifer Lopez and the Robot
You could feel that for the most part of this movie, it’s just a vehicle for Jennifer Lopez to be performing some emotions, and building this nice rapport with the robot. It is true that there are a few moving scenes in the last half an hour or so. But it just gets you there with so much less in terms of effort that you put, in so far as motor capacity is concerned.
The Cringe Factor
I mean, essentially, I’m trying to get through this movie, but some of the lines are just so cringe. They’re trying so hard they come across as cringe. I don’t like being this guy because I like the turn-off-your-brain sci-fi blockbusters sometimes. We’ve seen numerous examples, some that are so big, and the explosions are so massive, you’re like, okay, I can forgive the lackluster dialogue and the mediocre script. But in here, you don’t even really get the fun action scenes because she’s just kind of stuck for a lot of the film trying to figure out this robot, and they can both figure their way out, and that’s like 45 minutes of the movie.
AI Villain in Atlas
The writers, they’re trying to nail down a point here. What happens if AI gets out of control and out of hand? There’s no more being able to establish a relationship with that robot anymore. It’s no longer just a robot. It’s a bad AI villain that wants to destroy the world, destroy humanity, and then just the most generic reasons as to why he’s doing what he’s doing.
Austin, sometimes a villain doesn’t need reasons, sure, but the villain needs a personality. I mean, something to get us to at least somewhat care about his motivations, not even buy into him even though those are the best villains. Care in general. It’s like if he goes and destroys this world, I don’t care because I have no connection to this world.
Final Thoughts on “Atlas”
Look, this movie’s on Netflix, and I’ll be honest with you, sometimes people who have Netflix don’t go out and see all that many movies, which is fine. It’s understandable. That’s expensive. But this will be one of the few films they watch all year, and they may watch this, turn their brains off, and be like, “Ah, cool.” But as someone who watches everything, everything all the time, I have seen bits and pieces of this in hundreds of other movies done significantly better.
And there is nothing about this film that even remotely stands out. Even the idea, which had potential on paper, could have been turned into a fun blockbuster flick. And maybe it will be for some people. Turn your brain off, throw it on in the background, and you do get an emotional payoff. Admittedly, there’s that thing between her and the robot. I’m like, “Ah, it’s a sweet moment.” One sweet moment in a two-hour movie.
Conclusion and Call to Action
So if you enjoyed this review and all of my positivity, thank you so much for reading. Atlas fails to stand out or captivate, even with its emotional touch towards the end. The interesting concept quickly becomes generic and inevitably goes nowhere. Here is my score, and those are my thoughts for Atlas.
