The direction and screenplay have been applauded for the good work whereby the movie can be considered both as comedy and drama where the audiences are given something that can both make them laugh and also provoke them to think. Altogether, “Sharmajee Ki Beti” should be recommended for viewing due to the original idea, powerful characters’ portrayals, and women’s endurance and fortitude.

Cinematography and music in the film have also received commendation and have contributed to the emotional feeling in the film. The movement is complemented by the rich visuals where every scene successfully conveys the experience of the characters’ lives. Including R & B inspirational songs which suit the film’s atmosphere and add to the listeners’ engagement in the lives of the Sharma women.

Thus, although “Sharmajee Ki Beti” does depict certain issues in the society, it does not moralize as do most movies of its kind but is a sensational and encouraging movie of the Indian society. Appealing to audience’s emotions and priorities, it is the themes like the gap between generations, work-life conflict, and the striving for success even if people do not want to challenges the viewers.

The director Apoorva Lakhia does an excellent job in directing all performers and technicians involved in shaping up the whole picture in order to make a dramatic unity of the roles and the scenes to bring home the acting, emotions and impact. A caricatural depiction of a family is achieved as the dialogues are witty and in some cases grim, yet the laughter and sometimes even tears do not cease; the tenses are shifting in an ideal way to keep the audience alert from the very beginning.

My Opinion

In my view ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti’ is a fully realized film that depicts the significance of family especially female relationships. Saiyami Kher is truthful and relatively convincing whereas Shivin Narang is extreme in his portrayal, Sharmin Segal excels in her role and Sakshi Tanwar and Divya Dutta support the movie with great impact.

Thus the direction, screenplay, and music blend perfectly well to produce a work of art that is entertaining and at the same time full of food for thought. Especially, the films’ process of considering the important social issues while reflecting great comedy is something that I liked in the movies. All in all, ‘sharmajee ki beti’ is one of the serials you don’t want to afford to miss and I give it 4 stars. I would rate equal to five stars for this movie.
